Miss Chinese Western Australia 2011-(Miss Chinese Western Australia 2010) Marlene Lim's Diary.

    I just got home!!! :)
It's the second Miss Chinese WA 2011, and I was the Pageant Advisor. The event
was held on 11 Feb 2011 at Gloucester Park as part of Gloucester Park Chinese
New Year celebration events. It attracted over 12,000 audience.
    The event was
publicized widely including a TV Commercial (local Australian television) of the
previous winner of Miss Chinese WA, Marlene Lim.

the lady in red is contestant number 12, Gemma Taylor, 27, standing at 175cm, a
lawyer from Perth. She is of Malaysian Chinese (from Ipoh) and Australian mix
parentage, a friend that I urged and helped to join the pageant. She is also
Miss Popularity voted by the guests on the Grand Finale. She walked away with
    AUD2000 plus many other prizes.

The lady in gold with the crown is the new winner, Eva Li, 20, standing at
172cm, a student from Edith Cowan Univeristy. She walked away with AUD3000 with
other prizes and return ticket to Japan.

The 2nd RU was Wenjing Sun from China.
Another contestant from Malaysia is Sharon Liew who did  equally well. She is a Chiropractor, originating from Kota Kinabalu, 26,  standing at 178cm. She is also a hot favourite.

For your info, the girl in the middle is the
Makeup Sponsor, Motives - Lesley Wong and the girl beside me Emily, both from
    Miri!!! small world indeed.
More of me at MCWA 2011.

*PAGEANTIsland's personal view. This pageant truly showcasing the diversity of Australia as a nation. This contest alone attracting many contestants from many nations which to me is very interesting. It is of international standard and watched by thousands of people. I could see this pageant changes its name to MCWA International in the future. Good Luck!.
