Kathleen and Nick at Belle Mer in Newport, Part One

So the hot topic all week was the weather of course, and really it has been for a while, what is the deal?! But Kathleen and Nick got a bit of luck and it turned into a beautiful evening after pouring rain all day!

The girls got ready at Castle Hill in Newport. Check out this awesome bling shot!

More bling, because really you can never have a enough! I'm sure Kathleen will find reasons to wear these shoes again, they are so awesome!

Rub a dub dub, bouquets in the tub! These were done by the fabulous Stoneblossom crew headed by none other than Joyce.

How cute is Kathleen 'jumping' into her dress, she looks so happy!

They were running a little bit late so she had to run...

But there is always time for a spin or two...

Here are the guys before the ceremony which was held at the Cathedral of Peter and Paul in Providence.

These girls were having the best time all dressed up as the flowergirls, always a highlight of a little girls life I think. I guess it's bride-practice, see you in 20 years girls...

WOW! This is a grand entrance for the bride and her Dad. The isle is nice and long so you get the chance to really enjoy the moment.

This church is so dramatic and beautiful, this is such a serious photo, you can feel the nervousness.

Isn't this little boy the cutest, I just want to squeeze him! As I'm sure all the other ladies do too!

Even though you can barely see them there at the alter, they are there amongst all of the amazing ornate detail in this church.

A cool detail shot at the back of the church that was irresistible.

There they go, cascading back down the isle...married!

    Always time for a smooch...

    Shiney happy bridesmaid!

Oooooooh!!! Thank you awesome sunlight and veil combo gods!

Too bad Kathleen is so unhappy.

Getting back into the limo to head back to Newport for the reception...

Here is the fantastic detail that Kathleen had added to her dress, LOVE IT! Again, never too much sparkle!

    What a hot couple!

Aww, how great is this moment!

Wow, more miracle sunshine...it was beautiful and dreamy for sure.

    The ladies...

Maybe all that sunshine was coming from inside Kathleen?!

    The men...

    A very fun wedding party!

More 'hot stuff' from these two...

They had a lot of laughs together and really were having a great time at their wedding!

Whoa. Love this shot! It's so great when it all comes together for that perfect moment.

They even got crazy clouds in the sky, very cool!

Ya hoo! What a great time we had doing the formals, we just kept snapping and snapping. So much good stuff!

See you tomorrow for part two!

Melissa is the bomb!

So says Stella...we just got this thank you note from her yesterday, it was so nice!!!

"Dear Melissa, I can't even begin to thank you for such an incredible job you did. Never in a million years could I have imagined how stunning my wedding photos would be. I've gotten countless compliments from everyone. Someone said, "Every photo belongs in a magazine". Shane and I will remember our wedding day for the rest of our lives and you are the one who captured all the special details and moments. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts." Love, Stella and Shane

Well if that is not a good endorsement I don't know what is. Great job Melissa!!!

A Collar for Ned

I just came across these very cool Mascot dog collars and leads. I think I am going to have to order one in for Ned. Only problem will be trying to decide on which colour.....probably Navy.Source URL: http://idiesse.blogspot.com/2009/06/

A Beautiful Vignette

I am in-love with this beautiful vignette in the home of Melbourne based artist John Young which was featured in the July/August 2009 issue of Inside Out Magazine. I think the composition of the simple, natural tones of the objects with the divine, earthy coloured portrait is very beautiful.

Loving Ruffled Kitchen Skirts

I love the informality of ruffled kitchen skirts. I'm thinking from a budget conscious point of view this might be a fun option when we renovate our kitchen at our Stradbroke beach cottage. Are they a pain to use and keep clean?? I would love to hear from anyone who has had these before...

Pretty Yellow Wattle

Whilst I have been out on my morning walks of late I have noticed the wattle trees in flower all over the place. When I went down to the park with Harry yesterday there was one large tree in flower. I picked a few branches and brought them home and then arranged them in an old crystal vase my grandmother gave me a couple of years ago. I just adore the vibrant yellow of the flowers against the grey-green of the leaves.

Saturday Vintage Shopping Trip

A friend asked me to go hunting for vintage pieces with her yesterday {Saturday}. I warned her before we left that sometimes it can be hard to find things and sometimes we can come home with no great finds. Well, didn't I eat my words. We had one of the most successful vintage hunts I have had in a long time. We filled the boot of the car and then filled the back seats with things too. We even have a few pieces which need delivering next week!! Now, that's what I call a successful day...

Mariah Got Married!!!

So this is why we have been out of the office all week... Mariah and Don eloped on Block Island this past Tuesday afternoon! Of course I had to go and take a million photos! It was actually a huge honor to be there since the only other guests were their 4 kids.

So this is just a little preview of her photos, of course I will post a proper blog with lots more once we have posted all of our fabulous brides who were married last weekend. Mariah is still on Block Island but I am in the office for just a bit to get started on things.

Our regular blog schedule will resume next Tuesday, starting with the wedding of Kathleen and Nick, so check back then!

Friday Flowers

I was very lucky to be given these pretty mottled roses from a friend today. I arranged them in a pretty yellow vase we have at Black & Spiro. I placed them next to our beautiful vintage lamp and shade {note the beautiful embroidery on the shade} on a table in the shop and then a very lucky young lady came into the shop with her mum and her sister and they took the lamp home for her bedroom. I am sad to see this beautiful one-off vintage lamp go but I know it will be loved and cherished by it's next owner...

Happy Weekend. See you next time.

    xx

    Anna
